We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher to inspire and educate our students. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that align with the Health and Social Care curriculum and promote active student participation.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
- Incorporate innovative teaching strategies, including project-based learning, case studies, and real-world applications, to enhance student understanding and retention.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary initiatives and enrich the overall educational experience for students.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement interventions to support individual learning needs.
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders to promote a collaborative approach to education and community engagement.
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in Health and Social Care education, continuously reflecting on and refining teaching practices to meet the evolving needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Social Care or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level, with a proven track record of fostering student engagement and academic success.
- The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement
- Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum frameworks, assessment methods, and educational best practices in Health and Social Care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and school community.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
