We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher of Data and Curriculum at a progressive school in Brighton!
The Assistant Headteacher of Data and Curriculum will work closely with the Head of School and Senior Leadership in articulating and implementing the shared vision and values of the school through effective communication with all school stakeholders. This position involves leading and overseeing all school data analysis initiatives, curriculum development and instructional strategies to enhance student engagement and drive continuous improvement. It is the expectation that the successful postholder will demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, working closely with senior leadership colleagues on the continued implementation of strategic direction on the school and ensuring the provision of a high quality education for all of the school students.
Responsibilities of the Postholder:
Data Analysis and Management:
- Utilise data analysis tools to assess student performance, identify trends, and implement data-driven decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with teachers and department heads to establish and maintain effective data collection systems.
- Ensuring all data processes are followed by staff to ensure data is accurate and measurable.
Curriculum Development and Implementation:
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of a comprehensive and aligned curriculum that meets educational standards and objectives.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure curriculum materials and resources support effective instruction and student engagement.
Professional Development:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for teachers on data analysis techniques, curriculum implementation, and instructional best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring to ensure continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure student progress and achievement.
- Oversee evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of instructional programs and make data-driven adjustments.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster collaboration among teachers, parents, and stakeholders to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Communicate data findings, curriculum updates, and educational goals to the school community.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with data reporting requirements and prepare accurate and timely reports for educational authorities.
- Monitor the compliance of the implemented curriculum against both local and national educational standards.
- Ensure all policies and procedures within the School are practiced and followed by staff and students alike.

- Stay current with educational trends, research, and best practices to incorporate innovative and evidence-based strategies into curriculum development and data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Teaching experience with a proven track record of success in data analysis and curriculum development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with education technology and data management tools.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
